The "natural" trend towards "dematerializing" management documents and processes and information exchange is being further accelerated by health authority requirements to adopt rules and standards in this area: application forms, ECDT, ECTA, EPSUR, PIM, rolling submissions, HL7, … Thus, the pharmaceutical industry must meet not only the real challenge of revamping its information systems and underlying applications, but also that of organizing companies and their partners. Adopting a structured information repository capable of simultaneously managing documents, documentary content and data allows us to meet such challenges by providing the company's information system with the foundation it needs to support totally "dematerialized" and versatile document management.
